Norma Nordbye Hebert

SAVANNAH - Norma passed away May 22 at the age of 102!. She was born in Kost, Minnesota to Arthur and Alice Peterson in 1910, the same year Mark Twain died,
"Wrinkles should merely indicate where the smiles have been," Twain once observed.
Norma graduated from Mounds-Midway School of Nursing in 1930 and was extremely proud of her profession. After WWII Norma, her husband Dale Nordbye and son Louie moved to San Francisco which was to become home. She lived a very long and very healthy life and in that time came to have many friends, closest of all were her relatives and in-laws. She is survived by her son Louie Nordbye and his wife Lynn of Savannah, great granddaughter Katie Cole of Buffalo, New York and by her sisters Lorraine Olson and Ardy Skoglund, and her sister-in-law Mable Peterson.
She enjoyed her years at Marsh View Senior Living and spoke often about members of the staff who were so generous with their time, and about all her friends
there who took the time to listen. She loved the care and attention she received from Doctor Joenie Almeida...and so do Louie and Lynn.
Cremation has occurred and Norma will be interred with her husband Dale in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery at the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers where a small viking accordian band is playing Helsa dem dar hemma to accompany her on her flight to Valhalla.
